Happy Monday Friends! Today I have a new card featuring my Hummingbird and Cherry Blossoms sets. Here are the sets that I used below.
Here are a few tips on how to create my card…
- Stamp the cherry blossoms in various locations around the card base using Antique Linen
- Cold Press Watercolor paper works beautifully when using a wet on wet technique.
- A small watercolor brush helps create the depth on my hummingbird
- Using a large #5 watercolor brush, I added some blues around the edges of each cherry blossom to create some contrast.
- After coloring, I placed my card onto my mini Misti, this allowed for precise stamping.
- I stamped my sentiment twice for a rich dark black sentiment. Cold Press watercolor paper is bumpy and the double stamping helped the sentiment really pop.
- After stamping my sentiment, I used my heat gun to make sure the ink was fully set so that it would not smear on the paper.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope that you enjoyed my card! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me! I am always here to help!
With crafty hugs, Joanna
